Kevin is a recent graduate from the University of Toronto with a degree in chemistry and environmental science. His future goals are to obtain his PhD and become a professor of chemistry. Kevin has experience teaching science (chemistry, physics, biology) and math at the high school level as well as teaching chemistry at the university level. Kevin's goal with students is to help them develop an understanding of technical concepts as well as to understand why certain concepts are important. This is generally achieved by providing real life examples that relate the subject matter to the students life. Kevin has found that helping students to see the big picture and illustrating how subject matter relates to each student's life inspires them to develop a personal connection to the subject. Once a student has a personal connection to the subject they are more inclined to put in the time and effort that is required to master the subject (and get high marks).
